Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for quantum hardware systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors
- Lead research publications in quantum information science
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to technical roadmaps
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
