Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and machine learning
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Lead research initiatives in quantum supremacy validation and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week conferences
- Secure research partnerships with national laboratories and Fortune 500 innovators
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Develop patents for novel quantum circuit architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or IEEE Transactions
- Expertise in quantum gate decomposition and circuit optimization
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU acceleration)
