Job Description
We are Nexus Creative Labs, a forward-thinking digital agency pioneering immersive web experiences. We are seeking a visionary Senior 2D Motion Designer to lead our creative storytelling efforts. You will be responsible for crafting high-fidelity 2D animations and integrating them seamlessly into web environments using WebGL technologies.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional motion design and cutting-edge web development. You will work closely with frontend engineers to ensure that animations are not only visually stunning but also performant and interactive. Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality 2D motion graphics for web, mobile, and interactive campaigns using Adobe After Effects and Blender.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to implement WebGL and Canvas-based animations, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
- Create seamless transitions, micro-interactions, and kinetic typography to enhance user engagement.
- Develop technical animation specifications, including timelines, easing curves, and asset optimization strategies.
- Conduct motion design critiques and provide constructive feedback to junior designers and developers.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and design trends to keep our deliverables at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in 2D motion design, with a strong portfolio showcasing web-based animations.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Blender, and Cinema 4D.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and WebGL (Three.js or Pixi.js experience is a plus).
- Deep knowledge of animation principles, timing, spacing, and easing.
- Ability to optimize animations for performance without compromising visual quality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate creative concepts to technical teams.
