Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize daily logistics operations and supply chain workflows in the Greater New Orleans area.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, freight carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels, track shipments using industry-standard software, and resolve any logistical bottlenecks.
- Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics assistants, conducting regular performance reviews and training sessions.
- Prepare detailed reports on shipping performance, costs, and efficiency metrics for senior management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, data-driven decisions under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
