Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct daily warehouse and transportation activities, ensuring all KPIs regarding on-time delivery and inventory accuracy are met.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in supply chain workflows and implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce costs and improve throughput.
- Team Management: Mentor and lead a diverse team of logistics coordinators and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with third-party carriers and logistics vendors to negotiate rates and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are upheld.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate comprehensive operational reports for executive leadership, analyzing trends to forecast inventory needs and resource allocation.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety standards, DOT regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) such as Manhattan, SAP, or Oracle; strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders clearly.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of resolving operational bottlenecks under pressure.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional nights or weekends to support peak seasons.
