Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Perform network troubleshooting and optimization to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, including firewalls and VPNs, to protect sensitive data.
- Conduct regular network audits and capacity planning to support business growth.
- Lead technical projects, including network migrations and hardware upgrades.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in network engineering and administration.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs) and hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba).
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIP are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites within the Tampa Bay area.
