Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies, social shifts, and market disruptions impacting 2026-2030
- Develop and maintain strategic foresight frameworks including trend analysis, scenario planning, and impact assessments
- Collaborate with R&D, product, and executive teams to translate foresight into innovation roadmaps
- Author quarterly future-state briefs and present findings to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, technologists, and academic thought leaders
- Design and facilitate innovation workshops using foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Champion ethical innovation principles while evaluating disruptive technologies' societal implications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years applying strategic foresight methodologies in corporate, startup, or research environments
- Proven track record translating complex future scenarios into executable business strategies
- Expertise in emerging technologies: AI, quantum computing, biotech, climate tech, or neurotech
- Exceptional storytelling skills with experience presenting to executive audiences
- Publication record in foresight journals or thought leadership platforms
- Proficiency in foresight tools: Trend Hunter, Gartner Hype Cycle, or custom analytical frameworks
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ major foresight projects with measurable business impact
