Responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move goods from trucks to storage areas and vice versa.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate stock counts and maintain organized records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Picking and Packing: Select items according to pick lists and prepare them for shipping using proper packaging materials.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage or defects before processing to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and warehouse protocols at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on warehouse equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team leads and other warehouse staff to meet daily productivity targets.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: Minimum requirement; GED preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail is a plus but not required for qualified candidates.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and shipping documentation.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license preferred.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and adapt to changing priorities.
