Role Overview
The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe working environment. You will lead a dynamic team of logistics professionals dedicated to meeting our clients' high standards.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff to maintain high performance and safety standards.
- Inventory Control: Implement and monitor inventory management systems to prevent stock discrepancies and optimize storage space.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to ensure a OSHA-compliant workplace.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and implement solutions to improve workflow and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of forklifts and warehouse machinery.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze operational reports to provide insights to senior management.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of warehouse management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and/or OSHA 30-hour safety certification is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
