Responsibilities
- Administer injections and medications under physician supervision
- Perform EKGs, vital sign monitoring, and patient intake
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Assist with minor procedures and wound care
- Coordinate patient flow between exam rooms and treatment areas
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Collaborate with RNs and physicians during emergencies
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA) or EMT license
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills in English/Spanish bilingual a plus
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Weekend availability mandatory (Sat/Sun 8AM-6PM)
