Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses in patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and take vital signs
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Ensure examination rooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
- Proficiency in EHR systems and basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification required
