- Develop and execute a multi-year innovation roadmap targeting 2026+ market opportunities
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging domains (AI ethics, biotech convergence, climate tech)
- Partner with VCs and academic institutions to identify disruptive technologies
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage a $5M+ innovation portfolio with measurable ROI tracking
- Build and mentor a high-performing innovation lab team
- Produce trend reports and scenario planning documents for C-suite
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products/services
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Executive presentation skills with Fortune 500 experience
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Futures Studies, or MBA
- Published thought leadership in innovation journals
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Strong network with tech ecosystem stakeholders (VCs, researchers, policymakers)
