Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify and validate emerging technologies, market shifts, and socio-economic trends impacting 2026
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks integrating AI-driven scenario planning with human-centered innovation methodologies
- Produce actionable 5-year roadmaps for quantum computing adoption, AI governance, and sustainable resource optimization
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and policy teams to align on future-proofing priorities
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations on disruptive futures for industry conferences
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs for trend validation
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory landscapes to anticipate policy impacts on emerging tech ecosystems
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futurism, Strategic Foresight, Technology Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or tech futures research
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, weak signal analysis)
- Deep understanding of quantum computing, AGI ethics, and climate tech convergence points
- Exceptional systems thinking and ability to synthesize complex multidisciplinary data
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on digital transformation and future-proofing
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from APF or University of Houston) preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating published futures research or strategic innovation frameworks
