Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Optimize qubit coherence and error correction protocols for next-gen quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing quantum-resistant cybersecurity frameworks
- Collaborate with AI specialists to integrate quantum-enhanced machine learning models
- Publish groundbreaking research in leading scientific journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure and manage $10M+ in quantum research grants and partnerships
- Mentor junior scientists in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computational Physics, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed quantum computing research
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal or corporate research funding
- Strong background in cryptography or materials science is highly desirable
