Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum processors at near-absolute zero temperatures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum-classical hybrid system integration
- Secure $5M+ in NSF/DARPA grants for quantum supremacy initiatives
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information theory or condensed matter physics
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with low-level hardware optimization skills
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation and control systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics fundamentals
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental implementations
