Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies with 2026 market potential
- Design and validate prototype systems for quantum-encrypted communications
- Collaborate with government agencies on tech policy frameworks
- Manage a $5M annual R&D budget with ROI-driven allocation
- Build and lead a 12-person multidisciplinary innovation team
- File 10+ patents annually in emerging tech domains
- Present quarterly tech forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of scaling tech ventures from concept to market
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Experience securing federal grants and corporate partnerships
- Deep understanding of global tech policy landscapes
- Exceptional strategic communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences
- Fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, or German for global partnerships
