Responsibilities
- Forecast and map technological trajectories for 2026-2030 in AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating emerging standards (e.g., Web4.0, quantum-resistant cryptography)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and security teams
- Author white papers and thought leadership on future-proof digital infrastructure
- Design ethics-by-default frameworks for autonomous systems and neural interfaces
- Partner with policy councils to shape regulatory frameworks for emerging tech
- Build and mentor a specialized futurist lab focused on 2026 technology horizons
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with proven impact on future-oriented initiatives
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic engineering, or synthetic biology
- Published research or patents in peer-reviewed technology journals
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies (e.g., Delphi method, horizon scanning)
- Mastery of technical forecasting tools (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle, patent analytics)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ future-tech implementations scaled to enterprise level
- Certification in Futures Studies or Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
