Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies through 2026+ timeframe
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-focused solutions
- Present future technology insights to C-suite and key stakeholders
- Establish industry partnerships for technology adoption pilots
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory impacts on tech evolution
- Author thought leadership on future technology paradigms
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Advanced degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- Exceptional analytical and scenario planning capabilities
- Strong network within global tech innovation communities
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism
- Austin-based or willing to relocate to Texas
