Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, inspect, and organize stock to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Packing & Shipping: Prepare packages for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation according to regulatory standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Quality Control: Perform routine inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards before dispatch.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience accepted.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate various terrains.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with barcode scanners.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or logistics setting preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including occasional overtime during peak seasons.
