Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term technology roadmaps for emerging fields (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with 15+ engineers and scientists
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify disruptive opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members
- Secure $10M+ in annual R&D funding through compelling proposals
- Mentor a team of 5 futurists and technology analysts
- Publish thought leadership in top-tier tech journals and conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ in emerging technologies
- Proven track record of launching at least 2 breakthrough innovations
- Expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Experience with venture capital and startup ecosystems
- Strong public speaking and executive communication abilities
- Published research in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals
