Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, identifying disruptive opportunities in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology
- Lead cross-functional teams of researchers, engineers, and designers to prototype and validate next-gen solutions
- Secure and manage strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and board members, securing $2M+ annual R&D budgets
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption curves and ROI projections for emerging platforms
- Mentor junior talent through our Horizon Fellowship program, cultivating future tech leaders
Qualifications
- 10+ years in R&D leadership, with 5+ years in emerging technology strategy
- Proven track record delivering at least 3 breakthrough technologies to market
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neurotech, climate modeling, or decentralized systems
- Experience securing $1M+ in research grants or venture funding
- Published peer-reviewed research or patents in emerging technologies
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across technical and executive domains
