Responsibilities
- Scan global tech landscape to identify disruptive innovations with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Architect technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market forecasts and regulatory frameworks
- Lead pilot programs for emerging technologies (quantum, bio-digital interfaces, Web4)
- Secure partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget allocation across future-tech verticals
- Develop patent portfolios and IP protection strategies for emerging domains
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI governance, or sustainable tech
- Certified in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Nature Technology Review
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
