- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, decentralized AI) for commercial viability
- Lead R&D initiatives in sustainable tech and carbon-neutral data centers
- Collaborate with C-suite to integrate futuristic tech into enterprise architecture
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members on tech innovation pipelines
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget across 3+ R&D verticals
- Build partnerships with leading academic labs and government innovation hubs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership, with 5+ years in future-tech planning
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation
- Proven track record launching at least 2 breakthrough technologies to market
- Expertise in emerging tech frameworks (Gartner Hype Cycle, Toffler's Future Shock)
- Strong proficiency in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (DARPA, NSF, DOE)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or MIT Technology Review
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Technology Innovation Management
