As a key member of our Innovation Council, you'll leverage 15+ years of experience to identify emerging technologies, assess commercial viability, and build implementation frameworks that position Nexus as the industry leader in the 2026 technology landscape.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps for 2026-2030 with focus on quantum computing, neural interfaces, and decentralized AI
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype next-gen solutions in our Innovation Labs
- Analyze emerging tech trends (Web4, biotech integration, spatial computing) for competitive advantage
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation through data-driven innovation proposals
- Partner with C-suite to align tech strategy with global market expansion goals
- Present strategic vision at industry conferences and patent novel methodologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record launching products with 2026+ tech stacks (quantum/AI/metaverse)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering with published research
- Expertise in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle adaptation)
- Deep knowledge of emerging standards bodies (IEEE 2026, ISO/IEC 42000 series)
- Strong network with academic institutions and national labs
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences
