This role demands a blend of cutting-edge foresight, strategic implementation, and cross-industry collaboration to shape our innovation roadmap for the next decade.
As a key member of our Global Futures Lab, you'll work with quantum computing pioneers, biotech disruptors, and AI ethicists to develop actionable frameworks for emerging technologies. You'll influence enterprise strategy while mentoring the next generation of futurists through our proprietary Horizon Scanning Methodology.
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary foresight initiatives mapping 2026+ technological convergence points
- Develop strategic frameworks for emerging domains: quantum AI, synthetic biology, and neuro-interfaces
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate future scenarios into 5-year roadmaps
- Curate and interpret global data streams from patent analytics to climate models
- Design and facilitate cross-generational innovation workshops with Fortune 500 partners
- Author quarterly Horizon Briefs for the Board of Directors and Innovation Council
- Mentor junior futurists through our Future Leaders Program
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent discipline
- Minimum 8 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating complex future scenarios into executable business strategies
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (whitepapers, journals, conferences)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or foresight.org)
