Apex Systems is seeking a skilled QA Tester to join our dynamic team in Wichita, KS. This is an hourly contract position with immediate openings for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases and verify software functionality according to specifications.
- Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA and defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with software developers and product managers to troubleshoot issues.
- Create and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test data.
- Perform regression testing to ensure fixes do not introduce new bugs.
- Communicate test results and risk assessments to the project team effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and web applications.
- Familiarity with SQL and basic scripting (JavaScript or Python) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
