Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Design and execute experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with industry partners to develop quantum-resistant security frameworks
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from government and private institutions
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
- Author whitepapers establishing industry standards for quantum error correction
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience with Qiskit or Cirq
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals or top-tier quantum conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and hardware constraints
- Strong Python/C++ skills with high-performance computing experience
