Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead a cross-functional team of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Develop error-corrected quantum computing architectures
- Partner with industry leaders to prototype quantum solutions for finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Secure federal and private research grants totaling $5M+
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Present breakthroughs at global quantum technology summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and mitigation strategies
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
- Expertise in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
