Responsibilities
- Design and execute 2026 innovation roadmaps for Fortune 500 clients across AI, biotech, and climate tech sectors
- Lead interdisciplinary teams of futurists, engineers, and data scientists to prototype disruptive technologies
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging trends with transformative potential
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and government innovation labs
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and board members with compelling data visualizations
- Manage multi-million dollar R&D budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Mentor junior futurists in foresight methodologies and strategic thinking frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist roles with demonstrated impact
- Proven track record of scaling technologies from concept to commercialization (3+ case studies required)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AGI ethics, synthetic biology, or climate modeling
- Advanced degree (PhD/Master's) in Technology, Business, or Futures Studies from Tier 1 institution
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi technique, backcasting)
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across executive, academic, and government channels
- Published thought leadership in Harvard Business Review, MIT Technology Review, or equivalent
- Experience with innovation frameworks like Lean Startup, Stage-Gate, or Blue Ocean Strategy
