Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and AI
- Lead a team of 8-12 quantum researchers in developing error-corrected qubit systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies to implement quantum solutions for 2026 use cases
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and government partnerships
- Maintain compliance with NIST quantum security standards and ethical frameworks
- Develop proprietary quantum programming languages and development tools
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary research teams in high-stakes environments
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business value propositions
- Clearance for DoD/NASA quantum research projects preferred
