Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead error correction research to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers in Nature/Science journals annually
- Mentor PhD researchers and build next-gen quantum talent pipeline
- Partner with NASA, IBM, and DOD on quantum security initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance techniques
- Proven track record securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams
