Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and qubit stability
- Develop scalable quantum hardware architectures targeting 1000+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and partnerships with government agencies
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction techniques
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware integration
- Strong analytical skills with ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
