Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for Shor's and Grover's applications in real-world systems
- Develop error-corrected quantum processors using superconducting qubits and topological encoding
- Create hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for pharmaceutical molecular modeling
- Lead open-source contributions to Qiskit and Cirq ecosystems
- Collaborate with government agencies on post-quantum cryptography standards
- Mentor PhD interns from UT Austin's Quantum Information Science program
- Secure $2M+ in NSF grants for next-gen quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Track record of translating theoretical models into functional prototypes
- Security clearance eligibility for government-funded projects
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum machine learning
