Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum solutions into commercial applications
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance protocols
- Published research in quantum information science or top-tier conferences
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with low-level control of quantum hardware (cryogenics, microwave control)
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams with physicists, engineers, and software developers
