Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing systems using superconducting qubits and photonic platforms
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance quantum coherence and computational fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum software with next-generation quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at leading conferences (IEEE, APS, etc.)
- Secure research funding through grants and partnerships with government agencies and industry leaders
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to strategic roadmaps for quantum technology adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE, etc.) and quantum error correction
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing or physics journals
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Proven track record of securing research grants or industry partnerships
