Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Publish research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure federal grants (NSF, DARPA) and industry partnerships
- Prototype quantum cloud services for enterprise clients
- Mentor PhD interns and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum machine learning
- Proficiency in low-level quantum hardware control (FPGA, microwave engineering)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding (> $500k)
- Expertise in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
