Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Develop error mitigation protocols for NISQ-era processors
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor PhD-level researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from NSF/DARPA
- Partner with MIT/Stanford on quantum-AI hybrid systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit/Cirq programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction
- Expertise in tensor network simulations
- Strong background in quantum many-body systems
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware
- Track record of securing government research funding
