Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit coherence times
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and cybersecurity teams
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor 3+ junior researchers and publish quarterly breakthrough papers
- Patent at least two quantum computing innovations annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 5+ years of experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit simulation tools
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped ions
- Strong track record of securing federal research grants
- Clearance for government-sponsored R&D projects (or ability to obtain)
