Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on our proprietary hardware
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum coherence times
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through grants and partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional quantum research teams
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with trapped ions or superconducting qubits
- Publication record in quantum algorithm development or quantum information theory
- Expertise in Python/C++ with quantum libraries (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven ability to secure competitive research grants (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
- Experience mentoring graduate researchers and leading technical teams
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems modeling
