As a Quantum Computing Research Scientist, you'll contribute to breakthroughs in quantum algorithms, error correction, and hybrid quantum-classical systems. Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure grant funding from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences/journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
