Responsibilities
- Architect and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent quantum computing methodologies
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design error-corrected quantum processors
- Translate quantum theoretical models into practical industry solutions
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum machine learning frameworks
- Track record of securing research funding ($500k+ preferred)
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational complexity
