Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for quantum hardware systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software solutions with quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Stay current with emerging quantum computing standards and frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information science or related fields
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from conception to execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
