Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation applications
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims in controlled environments
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary research teams of 5+ scientists
