Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for disruptive technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks for C-suite stakeholders
- Author white papers and thought leadership pieces for industry publications
- Facilitate scenario planning workshops with Fortune 500 partners
- Mentor junior futurists and build innovation pipelines
- Represent the company at global tech conferences (Davos, CES, etc.)
- Secure $2M+ in R&D funding for experimental projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or relevant field
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial impact
- Expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of emerging tech ecosystems (blockchain, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills for executive and technical audiences
- Published author in foresight or innovation journals
- Experience securing government/private innovation grants
