Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026+ scenario models integrating geopolitical, technological, and socioeconomic variables
- Lead cross-functional strategy workshops to align executive vision with emerging market opportunities
- Produce horizon-scanning reports on disruptive technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Design risk mitigation frameworks for black swan events in the 2026-2030 timeframe
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-state solutions using our $50M innovation fund
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
- Mentor junior futurists in our proprietary foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or advanced R&D leadership
- Proven track record developing multi-year future-state roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and systems thinking frameworks
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Strong data modeling skills with proficiency in Python/R and visualization tools
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive-level communication abilities
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership on technological or societal megatrends
