Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market disruptions affecting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for high-stakes business decisions
- Architect innovation roadmaps integrating AI, biotech, quantum computing, and climate resilience solutions
- Present visionary insights to executive stakeholders through compelling narratives and data-driven visualizations
- Establish cross-functional foresight coalitions with R&D, product, and sustainability teams
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations at global innovation forums
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a culture of anticipatory intelligence across the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles at Fortune 500 or high-growth tech firms
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and systemic thinking methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology) and their societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to C-suite and board-level audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented strategic initiatives
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., from Association of Professional Futurists) preferred
- Global mindset with experience navigating diverse cultural and regulatory environments
