Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the daily inbound and outbound shipping activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update the warehouse management system in real-time.
- Liaise with carriers, shippers, and customers to resolve logistical issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing slips, with a high degree of accuracy.
- Monitor freight costs and optimize shipping routes to reduce operational expenses.
- Conduct regular audits of stock levels and assist in the organization of the warehouse layout.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to prioritize urgent shipments and manage workflow.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and warehouse management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods as required.
