Responsibilities
- Develop integrated sustainability masterplans for 2026-era smart cities using BIM and GIS technologies
- Lead stakeholder workshops with municipal governments, tech innovators, and community groups
- Design circular economy systems for waste reduction and resource regeneration
- Implement climate-resilient infrastructure solutions for coastal and inland urban areas
- Conduct lifecycle analysis for building materials and transportation networks
- Create policy frameworks to accelerate renewable energy adoption in high-density zones
- Mentor junior planners in emerging green certification standards (LEED v5, BREEAM 2026)
Qualifications
- Masters in Urban Planning, Environmental Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in sustainable city development with 3+ in tech-integrated planning
- Proficiency in urban modeling software (CityEngine, UrbanCanvas) and data visualization tools
- Certification in Smart City Infrastructure or Resilient Urban Design
- Demonstrated success in securing municipal sustainability grants ($5M+ portfolio)
- Published research on climate adaptation in urban environments (2020-2023)
- Experience with cross-border regulatory frameworks for sustainable development
