Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan, sort, and organize incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Packaging: Properly package goods to ensure they are protected during transit.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet daily production targets and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Work History: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or general labor is preferred but not always required.
- Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in inventory and shipping.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with handheld scanners or basic computer systems is a plus.
