Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market forecasts and sustainability mandates
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, etc.)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for emerging tech domains
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board members with actionable insights
- Drive adoption of ethical AI frameworks in all future technology deployments
- Mentor junior strategists in horizon scanning and scenario planning methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech roles
- Proven track record launching products leveraging future-facing technologies (blockchain, biotech, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- Deep expertise in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi method, scenario planning)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Published research or patents in emerging technology domains
- Experience securing government grants or venture capital for R&D initiatives
- Proficiency in strategic planning tools and data visualization platforms
